Dwight Howard's shooting form has never looked better. Howard, who agreed to a three-year, $70 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, is working with NBA shooting coach Chris Matthews. Matthews once played in the NBA's Development League as well as overseas. Matthews has Howard's shot looking like it could be serviceable next season. During his career, Howard has shot 56.8 percent from the free throw line and 27.5 percent from 10-16 feet from the hoop. In the past, his shot seemed more tense, with his elbows out and his release too stiff. Howard's mechanics look solid. He jumps in one motion, and his follow through is smooth. Howard wants to revitalize his career in Atlanta, after is three-year tenure with the Houston Rockets failed to live up to expectations. Howard clashed with guard James Harden on offense, averaging 16.0 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.
